International Women’s Day talk to offer support and inspiration
NORTH shore women are being urged to support each other at Willoughby Women Inspired on Wednesday at The Incinerator.
The event, which falls on International Women’s Day, will play host to high-profile keynote speakers, including Dress for Success Sydney’s Pat Evans.
Not-for-profit organisation Dress for Success Sydney empowers women by providing support, professional attire and the tools to help them succeed.
Ms Evans will talk about her experiences in leadership roles, her lifetime and career achievements as well as this year’s theme of “Be bold for change”.
“‘Be bold for change’ is a call for a more gender-inclusive world and awareness raising of the need for action. The World Economic Forum predicts the gender gap won’t close entirely until 2186,” Ms Evans said.
Mayor Gail Giles-Gidney will also speak at the event. She is urging others to stand in solidarity of women not just in Willoughby, but around the world.
Willoughby Women Inspired will be held on Wednesday March 8 from 6pm at The Incinerator, 2 Small St, Willoughby. Cost: $20.
