The corflutes have arrived. Look for posters on Willoughby Road, Sailors Bay Road and the Castlecrag shops.
I managed to speak to lots of residents this week, and quite a few shop owners. Shop owners were concerned about not having any recycling facilites for shop waste. This means they either get their own private contractors, take it away themselves, or perhaps this ends up in general rubbish?
The shops around Willoughby Road were also concerned regarding the smokers that congregate around the outside of the hotel, obstructing the footpath, pedestrian traffic calming measures and general rubbish removal.
Residents mentioned (again) the lack of cycle paths, and general traffic issues.
THE campaign launch is on at Laurelbank, cnr Laurel and Penshurst Street, Willoughby, from 3pm to 4pm on 18th April. Afternoon tea will be served so please rsvp to firstname.lastname@example.org. I hope to see as many there as possible to get the campaign off to a big official start.
