My letter to the North Shore Times was published (27/3) in response to a submission to “Opinion” by Barry Thompson, the Deputy Mayor.
My concern was Councillor Thompson’s claim that there was no younger representative at a meeting regarding the proposed development of Northbrigde Plaza. Having attended the meeting, and having asked questions, this was wrong and inappropriate.
Interestingly the proposed redevelopment has been shelved for the time being. No co-incidence that this followed a huge public protest, and it was close to the by-election where it promised to be a hot election item.
